The $ARB Airdrop Is Here

The Arbitrium team came in before the weekend with an announcement.

The ARB token is coming...

What is $ARB

ARB is the native token of the Arbitrum network, a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. It's the governance token for the network, Arbitrium One and Arbitrium Nova.

Who is eligible

To be eligible for the ARB airdrop, users have to meet certain criteria. Here are the exact requirements:

  • Bridged funds into Arbitrum One or Arbitrum Nova

  • Conducted transactions during 2, 6, or 9 distinct months

  • Conducted transactions with more than $10,000, $50,000, or $250,000 in aggregate value

  • Deposited more than $10,000, $50,000, or $250,000 of assets on Arbitrum One

  • Conducted more than 3, 5, or 10 transactions on Arbitrum Nova

  • The airdrop is based on data taken on a snapshot on February 6, 2023

Users who accrue a minimum of three points are eligible for the airdrop, with points accrued prior to the mainnet launch holding double the value of those earned afterward.

You can visit https://arbitrum.foundation and follow the prompts to check airdrop eligibility details.

Wen drop?

12.75% of the token supply would be airdropped on March 23rd, 2023.

So if you made the cut,

Microsoft Bringing A Native Crypto Wallet To Edge Browser

It feels like the big tech companies are playing a game of musical chairs with crypto. As one exits (๐Ÿ‘€ Meta), another enters the scene.

This time, it's Microsoft... and they are baking a wallet into the Edge browser, similar to the Brave browser.

A tweet from @thebookisclosed revealed screenshots of the UI.

What we know so far

  • The wallet is expected to allow users to transact Ethereum-based tokens in a non-custodial way.

  • It would allow multiple Ethereum accounts and the ability to switch between them.

  • There is a built-in exchange that has support for ETH, DAI, USDC, USDT, and UNI

  • Strings in the software hint a Bitcoin wallet is in the works for future release.

Why this matters

If this goes live, it opens native wallet access to about 4% of the entire browser market by removing the question, "is this the right browser plug-in?"
